Painting - Epoxy Resin And Acrylic Paint On Canvas
Description
This painting is based on a photo I took in the ocean of Hawaii right before the wave crashed over my head. I wanted to capture it perfectly, which anyone who has used resin knows is not easy, because resin has a mind of its own. If I painted the whole thing at once, the resin would mix up the colors and run off the sides, changing the image entirely. So I painted each color separately, with a little line of teal in one place, then wait 24 hours for it to cure, then a little line of blue in the next place, and wait another 24 hours. It was not the most efficient way to paint, so thankfully I have since discovered UV resin, which makes this kind of project much easier.
