Artist's Description
River otters are social, playful mammals, and the original owners of pet rocks. Otters keep rock collections as both tools and toys. They roll on their backs and juggle rocks for fun. They have a favorite rock which they will keep for years, their prized possession. To celebrate the joy a simple rock can bring, I have painted this otter holding a tiny piece of treasure and swooning. We can learn from the animals to appreciate the little things, and find joy in every gift.
About Angela Brunson
Dr. Angela Brunson discovered a love and surprise talent for painting during the original Covid-19 quarantine, mere months before she completed her PhD in Musicology. As interest in her artwork grew, she changed course and became a full-time artist. She specializes in realistic animals and nature, always finding beauty that she must put on a canvas.
