Description
Notre Dame tragically burns, lighting the night sky of Paris, France. I watched the news in horror as this happened. A thousand years of history up in flames. I felt a personal loss, as well, because I sang in that cathedral years earlier. I felt the need to memorialize the emotional reaction of people around the world. Unfortunately, my arm was in a cast at the time, but I was determined, so I painted this with my left hand. I am not ambidextrous, so this was quite a feat!
