A manatee smiles as it greets you. These gentle creatures look like cows and feel like an old, wet, leather couch, but they are friendly and often approach humans. Who could resist those sweet eyes? This layered resin painting has a mica powder background, with the manatee painted in acrylics and several more layers of resin to give it depth.
About Angela Brunson
Dr. Angela Brunson discovered a love and surprise talent for painting during the original Covid-19 quarantine, mere months before she completed her PhD in Musicology. As interest in her artwork grew, she changed course and became a full-time artist. She specializes in realistic animals and nature, always finding beauty that she must put on a canvas.
