Artist's Description
In this commissioned piece, a bald eagle carries a goat through the sky. Although the premise was obviously predator and prey, I had to tell myself a different story while I painted it. In my mind, the little goat got lost and couldn't swim, so he needed a ride home across the lake. I could never paint such a cute little animal if I considered his gruesome fate.
